Cafe Co-Lab

Building profitable baked goods programs for cafes & coffee shops

Stop selling outsourced baked goods with razor-thin margins. Together, we’ll make a plan to bring your baking in-house for higher profits and happier, more loyal customers.

There’s a better way to approach this.

Most cafe owners think they only have two options: expensive outsourcing or hiring a pastry chef. I specialize in the third option—curated, easy-to-execute recipes and proven systems that let you bring baking in-house without the complexity or overhead.

I Get It

You’re already running at full capacity.

Managing a cafe means juggling endless responsibilities. You know customers expect great baked goods, but outsourcing eats into your profits and in-house baking feels intimidating. Where would you find recipes that work? How would you handle storage, portioning, and commercial kitchen rental without making costly mistakes?

It's hard to step back from the daily grind to build something new from the ground up. Fortunately, you don't have to do this alone.

The PATH FORWARD

Here’s what’s possible.

Instead of the usual standard fare from your supplier, you'll be offering baked goods with flavors and textures that exceed customer expectations. You'll gain an edge over your competition while creating a potentially game-changing revenue stream.

We'll start by understanding your current situation: your space, your customers, your budget. Then we'll develop a custom approach that includes everything from menu planning to staff training to the logistics that make your program profitable and sustainable.

No More Mediocre Muffins

Easy-to execute recipes, designed for busy cafe owners

With tried-and-true classics to anchor your display and seasonal options to mix things up, every recipe has been developed for real cafe constraints. They scale efficiently and include equipment recommendations so you know exactly what you need. Most importantly, they're designed for profitability (and irresistibility).

Strategic partner | Baking Nerd

Hi, I’m Amy.

As a native Seattleite, I have an ingrained love of independent coffee shops. And I’ve been a baker from a young age. We have a picture somewhere of a 10-year old Amy proudly holding a tray of freshly baked banana bread. I’ve travelled a lot for work and have been consistently underwhelmed by the baked goods on offer in the cafes I visit. That’s where the idea for this project came from originally. As I began to talk to cafe owners, I learned more about the constraints they face in sourcing their baked goods. I started brainstorming solutions and the result is Cafe Co-Lab!
